Benzler Farm was established in 1952 by Fred and Bertha Benzler, who sold most of their product at the Farmers Market. Their son, Tom, took over the farm in the late ‘70s. After having taught industrial arts at the local Jr. High School for 17 years, he turned his focus on the family farm. The farm, initially 40-acres, has now grown to a total of 200-acres with product being shipped nationwide.

In 2001, Tom’s son, Thomas, started getting involved in the day-to-day activities of running the family farm, and eventually took over full control of the farm in 2005. Tom and his wife, Betty, now commit much of their free time to charitable causes in their Fresno community as well as missionary work in Puerto Rico.

Tom still joins his son at the Farmer’s Market on many a Saturday following a family tradition that has spanned three generations. Enjoy!
